23 FARECOR CAL BASE


CHARACTERISTICS
Mortar based on special lime.

APPLICATIONS:
Special for restoration of historical work (does not contain Portland cement).
Rehabilitation of natural stone masonry and old supports.
Filling of joints between pieces of natural stone.
Revocation of regularization on old supports.
Indoors and outdoors.
Manual application or with a projection machine.

SUPPORTS:
Antique lime plaster support.
Natural stone masonry.
Non-waterproofed cementitious plasters.
Ceramic brick of any format.
Clay block (previously primed).

COMPOSITION:
Aerial lime, hydraulic lime, pozzolans, selected limestone aggregates and organic additives.

PREPARATION OF THE MIXTURE:
Mix the powder product with the indicated amount of water.
Knead until fully homogenized (without lumps), with a mortar mixer at low revolutions.
Yield approx. for 1mm thick 1.6 Kg / m²

PRODUCT APPLICATION:
Apply the mortar manually, filling gaps and joints between pieces using a trowel.
Continue applying a continuous layer until the desired thickness is achieved; It is recommended to assemble the first layer with 10x10 mm light fiberglass mesh.
Apply several coats if necessary, waiting 24 hours between coats.
Finish with a trowel.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Do not apply at temperatures below 5ºC or above 35ºC.
Do not apply in conditions of strong winds, rain or frost.
Once kneaded do not add additional water.
Do not apply on plaster, old paint or easily separable supports, nor on superficially waterproofed substrates.
Do not exceed 1.5 cm thick per layer; in case of a greater total thickness of plaster, apply several layers.
In joints between supports of different nature, use fiberglass mesh reinforcement.
In case of high temperatures or strong winds, moisten with water spray for the next 24 hours.
